Over the past year, I have completed a major project for our Alternative and Special Education divisions that provides our teachers and administrators timely and accurate assessment information about our students. Integrated Education Services has been providing similar data reporting and analysis to our component districts for a number of years but, because student assessment data is stored for the students' home districts, it could not be accessed by our teachers—the professionals who actually teach those students. In consultation with the programmers and managers at the WNYRIC Data Warehouse, I was able to create and implement a procedure that ensures our teachers and administrators access to those data.
